The Respectful Relationships program is an initiative by the State government, based on developing respect, positive attitudes and behaviors all of which develop resilience, confidence and healthy relationships now and for the future.
Staff members are well educated and are considered leaders of respectful relationships. Delivering an agreed upon approach to the practice respectful relationships as also documented by the curriculum. With a strong lens/focus around family violence, staff members are empowered with practical ways to respond to children, parents and community members. Staff members are expected to embed respectful relationship within their lessons as intended through the curriculum as well as extend respectful relationship beyond classroom learning and into the school community through modelled examples. The program is used to support children through well-rounded programs and through additional agencies that help both staff, children and our community.
