Thank you for considering Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School for your child’s education.
We accept enrolment applications for students from Foundation (Prep) to Year 6. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.
Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). Approved entry criteria for our school for the 2026 school year are:
- students who live within the school zone
- students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
- students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.
All students seeking enrolment at our school must meet one of the above criteria to be eligible for enrolment in 2026.
The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary for the subsequent school year.

When can I enrol?
Victorian children are allowed to start school on the first day of the first term as long as they are 5 years old by April 30 of that year. If you live in Victoria, your child must enrol in the year they are 6 years old, which is the mandatory starting age.
Enrolment Requirements
The following documents are required to complete your child’s enrolment in a Victorian Government Primary School:
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Child’s Immunisation Certificate (to be obtained from Medicare)
- Passport and Travel Documents (Visa) for non-Australian citizens
- 100-point residential address checklist
Please provide documents to verify your child’s permanent residence. This is the address where they spend the majority of the school week. Any combination of the following documents is acceptable, as long as they add up to at least 100 points and have the name of the enrolling adult on them.
40 Points – One of the following
- Lease Agreement through a registered real estate agent or rental board bond receipt OR
- Exchanged contract of sale OR
- Council Rates notice
20 Points – Any of the following
- Centrelink payment statement showing home address
- Electoral roll statement
15 Points – Any of the following documents
- Electricity or gas bill showing the service address (up to three months old)
- Water bill showing the service address (up to three months old)
- Landline telephone or internet bill showing the service address (up to three months old)
- Driver’s licence or government issued ID showing current home address
- Home building or home contents insurance showing the current home address
- Motor vehicle registration or compulsory third-party insurance policy showing the current home address
2027 Foundation (Prep) Enrolments
The Department of Education has released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2027 school year.
All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.
You can to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2027 at Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School from Monday 27 April 2026.
What you need to do:
- From the 27th April, contact Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
- Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). This pack includes guidance on the application process.
- Visit the Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School Office to submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31 July 2026.
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026.
- If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School to accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026.
- Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2026.
- Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28 January 2027.(Actual 2027 start date to be confirmed).
Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Enrolment Policy.
