Updated Advice COVID-19

23 March 2020

Dear parents and carers,

As you are aware, the Victorian Government, with the support of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, has announced that school holidays will be brought forward to begin on Tuesday 24 March.

For the period Tuesday 24 – Friday 27 March, care and supervision programs will be available for students in Prep to Year 6 (and all specialist schools) for the children of essential services workers during school hours, with before- and after-hours programs as required.  Examples of essential services may include health, police, corrections, youth justice and emergency services workers.

If you work in essential services and need to send your child to school this week, please contact your Sub-school Assistant Principal tonight or tomorrow by phone call or SMS to confirm your child’s attendance on any specific days this week. This will allow us to put appropriate arrangements in place.

Anne McDonald, Foundation to Grade 2:  0431 147 349

Mick Sweeney Grade 3 to Grade 6:  0412 248 567

For those who attend this week, we will be observing the latest advice on social distancing, with a maximum of 10 children in a room at any one time.

If you have concerns, please contact our Well-being Assistant Principal, Kerry Bates on 5991 3600 (mobile to be confirmed) or call Mick Sweeney or Anne McDonald on the above numbers.

All students will be expected to attend school from the start of Term 2 on Wednesday 15 April, which may be by remote and flexible learning arrangements.

More information regarding coronavirus and schools is available on the Department of Education and Training website, which will continue to be updated as the situation evolves: https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/department/Pages/coronavirus.aspx

Thank you for your support during this time.

Yours sincerely,

Nicky Walker
