Principal’s blog | Welcome back

Term 3 begun with a bang as we had a fire evacuation five minutes into the first day! Luckily for us the evacuation was the result of a faulty detector that has since been fixed. This term we will place a heavy emphasis on children being dressed in full school uniform. We appreciate your support in achieving this. As a school we will focus on collaboration and how it can help us in a variety of situations. In week three we are inviting families to meet with teachers for our Parent Teacher interviews. Information on how to book will come home with your child tonight.

In terms of curriculum our school have identified key areas in our Annual Implementation Plan that require our attention. We are working together as a staff to improve our teaching of reading, writing, mathematics, critical and creative thinking and building a positive climate for learning.

Lastly we look forward to seeing you at our special events this term including the Dragon Dynasty Festival on Friday 15 August. This is the next of our Cultural Connectionz series.
