High Ability Programs

Some of the competitions / programs we have competed in are: –

In 2024, 5 of our Year 6 students entered the Formula 1 Grand Prix Hydrobot Rumble Challenge.  They worked hard for 4 months learning how to design a Hydrogen fuelled autonomous vehicle and then share their design idea along with all the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics involved in their work.  Our students were selected as 1 or the 3 finalists for Victoria and presented the project to a panel of Judges at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.  They were exceptional in their presentation, and they won the competition for the state.

Here are some photos of their amazing achievement.

In 2024 a selection of Year 5/6 students were invited to take part in a Soul Sonics music program designed to create tunes and music using the sounds around our school.  It was wondering to see students using technology and digital programming to create their own individual sounds.  Have a listen to their creations.
