Extra Activities / Programs

At Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School we look for projects, programs and competitions that support our students interests and curiosity.  We encourage students to try new things and share their passions for learning through extra-curricular activities, challenges and tasks.

Some of the competitions / programs we have competed in are:-

Science Talent Search – Year 1/2 Scientific Picture Story Book project

Tournament of the Minds – Year 3/4 STEM challenge – Birds of TOMadise   

Maths Olympiad – Year 3 to 6 – 4 Maths problem solving and creative thinking challenges per year as well as weekly training sessions with Mrs Young.

Robocup – Year 5/6 – competition teams in Riley Rover Rescue and On-Stage Performance using our Lego Spike Prime Robots.  – This year our On-Stage Performers were placed 2nd in the competition and were invited to compete at the Victorian State competition. 

Our Poly Girls Team went on to win the State Competition and will now attempt to compete in the national competition in Term 4 at MSAC – Albert Park. 

 

Lego Club Lunchtimes – Foundation to Year 6 – have a lego lunch time with Mrs Young on Friday in the STEM room.
